Starhenry:

Ready ... take your time ... just concentrate ... and charge !
See the slogan above, thats exactly what i do during my matches.

Alrite, since this is a warcraft game, i shall leave it to the game master to post his official match report for the game.

However i have to make some comments for today's matches.

Well, of course i did my homework prior to today's games. Check out the website for a human strategy and realise there is quite a bit of catching up to do. Well, the only thing across my mind was to at least get a medal... be it gold, silver or bronze. Come on...that is not too much to ask for, considering nobody wants to lose on the opening match. And so given that i have 4 hours before the match starts at 2.45 pm, and TC suddenly sms me to say change the time to 1pm. Aiyo like that how to train... so i just continue training and stick to the original time...

First match against Dark got me nervous. Opening match, some thanks. Then TC to choose the supposedly better cpu. Actually my cpu also got mouse prob also.. which was why i rmk twice. Sidikinly you drag to one place it moves in another. When i was playing i knew i could not rush, so i just drag . Dark was winning though, partially due to me stalling for too long and he tech to elite units. Still i play on and i kept grumbling to ZJ abt how sianz to get last in warcraft again. But when TC got too khang chung ( probably thats y his name is called Khang TC ), he lost his cool and start rushing my base with only a magina and two mountain giants. Though my army was significantly weakened, there is still the faithful footmen and riflemen dozen tgt with some caster. Bloodmage was there also to help me chase away those siege outside. Actually Dark strat was not wrong just that he too impatient to claim his first win liao. I was really sieged and i knew the only way to win is of course to use my humble remnants to sweep away the for towers outside. It works and for once i thought i might win the game. I waited a while and decided to hold again until i got my expansion. I needed to . I knew clearly that fulus is impt in late game. TC was juz wiped of his armies. Me too. We needed to rob the gold mines. By then time my full army asemble, i cleared off his expansion easily with only two chimeras to stop me. Oh man so during this interval he was hatching a chimera plot. However there was riflemen gang in my battalion and i entered his base. Haha, so he spent all his money on chimeras liao. It took me quite fast to take down most of his builings then i heard the cpu reporting that my expansion was under siege. Take a quick look and saw his chimeras trio tearing down my expansion like free. Then i rush over and his trio juz fly away...god knows where. Strange, cleared all buildings still never win. Check out the last possible expansion only to be whacked by creeps. Then he again terrorise my base with his last three chimeras. Sianz, in the end still got to split my armies and count on my major helper, the phoenix to win the game.

Then it was ZH and ZJ match, well ZJ won deservedly and nothing much to say except well done to the mass abom.

3rd/ 4th placing. Greatly traumatized by the defeat, TC continued in his poor run of form. ZH was clearly winning but his celebration got the better of him, and so he paid dearly for it when he lost the bronze medal to TC due to inadequate fulus to put up a good anti-air show against mass chimeras again. Aiya if ZH final placing lose to anybody by one point he will have a lot to regret about this match haha.

Yeah..the finale. Quickly read some anti- undead strat then start fighting. Interesting match, but for once i was the one who initiate the fight. Dunno, but we were dragging too long and i just fear for some BIG things to happen. So i quickly sprint to his base and camp outside. Then he came out lar and first clash i won by slight margin after taking down one or two buildings. Yet it did not succeed and i was forced a retreat. Then second clash occurs after i got my army ready again. Well he won slightly this time round cos his army got bigger in size...so many abom. But he also retreated as his hero was dying. I quickly generate another army... this time round with gryphons included... and off i went to camp outside his base. I was preparing myself for the ultimate clash...which according to spectators would see heavy casualties... then the cpu again said my base is under siege. Man he took the first move and my hero was dead...oh shit forget to revive until TC reminded me so. So cannot teleport back. Then i turned back and ZH was saying this time round i gg liao. But i manage to stay calm and did the most correct move of the match... to turn back again and enter undead base. SEee who first lar. Second correct move... to take down his equivalence of town centre first. So he cannot teleport alrdy. Meanwhile i did what humans is best at...call to arms...and delayed a tweeny little bit of ZJ clearing. It was down to see who clear finish first who wins. The much anticipated third units clash never arrived. Humans was fast at clearing and boasting the best defense implied that ZJ can never clear my buildings as fast. So in the end the last seed became the new order of the day.

In a way today triumph came as unexpected and luck plays an important role here. I was lucky to get the more favourable cpu no matter whether i win or lose the scissor paper stone. Yet, it must be argued that winning TC and ZJ requires good strat and preparation also. Luck alone will never get me that far. Mistakes are intolerable in matches and a wrong move leads to a hero downfall. Again, the most glaring mistake of the day must be ZH reluctance to expand. Yet it is also interesting to note that a smart move has the magic of twisting the whole game. Look at TC final bet on chimeras against ZH and well, my sudden change of mind to enter ZJ base to clear rather than to retreat back and save. All in all it was an interesting game and the lessons learn will definitely be useful in the coming knights games.
